What is WIISE Expert Room?
WIISE is an on-demand professional learning platform. We create an ecosystem of learners and Expert Instructors, that flourish and nourish, professional development amongst individuals.
Expert Room is a value added feature where Learners can seek Expert advice/ guidance through 1:1 on-demand scheduled sessions. Such service is is intended to make the learners more productive and grow your career and business.
There are two entities in the expert room – Learner & Expert.
Some of our most popular categories of experts include Digital marketing, Data Science, Startup mentoring, Business Growth, Coding & Programming problems, Sales/business development, HR issues, Productivity and more!
How does the Expert Room work?
1. Need an Expert: You have a query/doubt/ need guidance. Choose the course Instructor or browse our community of experts who can help you.
Whilst taking courses our learners may require to interact with Experts. They will “Request Expert” on the portal. This will list the the Instructor and other Experts who can offer similar support in the subject area. The rates and availability of the Expert is shown. The learner chooses the expert to schedule a call.
2. Schedule a call book a slot: At this time, you will be pre-charged for the estimated length of the call based on the expert’s rate.
When scheduling the call, the learner will be asked for a credit card. The learner is charged at that time for the initial call amount based on the rate and duration scheduled.
Experts have 48 hours to respond, or the call will expire (at no cost to the member). Experts will either confirm one of the requested times or send over new times that work better for them. This back and forth scheduling happens until a mutually agreed upon time is requested. Either party can also cancel the call if need be.
Once the expert accepts a requested date and time, a confirmation is sent to both parties via email with a conference line link they’ll use to call in to.
3. Connect 1:1 Video/ Call session: Video Call will be arranged. After the call, the charge will be adjusted to reflect the actual length of the call.
Reminder notifications will be sent nearer the scheduled call.
At the confirmed date and time, both learner and expert will call the conference line and access code to connect (so the call isn’t with your personal phone number). The call is recorded for security purposes. When the call is over, the member will be billed for any time that the call runs over beyond the original scheduled time or credited any balance if the call runs shorter than originally scheduled. Members can leave a rating and review for the expert.
Beta Phase: During Beta stage the conference line will cut off after the scheduled time. We are working on technology to prolong the same.
What is the role of Expert?
Expert on WIISE is a Practitioner, Professional with certain skill or expertise that they are willing to advise through on-demand 1:1 Video/ Phone calls. Our Experts are everyday creators, entrepreneurs, and professionals who are passionate about what they do – people like you, your friends and your colleagues.

Is this mentoring?
Some people call the role as Mentor, Advisor, Coach, Guide, we call this role as Expert. The role is primarily aimed to help individual seeking guidance, advice, direction so that they can benefit from your expertise.
How much time I have to devote for this?
Your availability is entirely your choice. You can specify on the calendar your availability days/ times, accordingly the same shall be shown on the Learner side. Each discussion slot is 30min or 60min.
If you want to promote yourself, we suggest you to be available for more time, our technology platform shows experts who are readily available to our learners.
Beta Phase: During Beta stage the scheduling and coordination will be handled by our team. This is to ensure seamless scheduling and improve user experience.
How do I earn money as Expert?
The Expert sessions is a paid feature for the Learners. The expert decides their hourly rate and availability slots. Your Earned payment shall be reflected in your account after each successful call. We keep a 15-day refund period for the learner. For any reason if a dispute is raised, we encourage both parties to solve the dispute. If the resolution results in refund then it will be reflected in your account.
When will I get paid?
We have designed specific payment cycles for Experts. Regularly scheduled “payment dates” are on the 16th of each month (or if any such day is not a business day, the next succeeding business day). Payouts sent on the 16th of each month are for transactions that have occurred in the previous calendar month, beginning 14 days after your official launch date. Experts will be paid the due amount, less the PayPal charges (if any).
How do I promote my profile?
You are the best person to promote your courses and profile. a) Our portal is SEO optimised, hence use popular terms in your title and description so that your course and profiles are picked in searches. b) Set competitive hourly rate that will make more people to visit your profile. c) Use social media and web and promote your courses and profiles using “tweets”, facebook and more.Reach out to your existing user base and share your works with them.
How does the “first 15min Free session” work?
We offer a brief 15min free session to learners as part of their membership. This free session is per individual instructor. This free session is a great tool for you to encourage the learner to take further calls with you. You may bring out more areas where you can help and your help is useful for him.
Can I use normal telephone or email or Skype for the call?
No. We don’t share mentor’s contact details to our learners. We insist our members to use our provided platform so that we can track the works and compensate accordingly. We encourage you to adhere with our terms of service.
The secret to being a successful expert lies in seven expert standards that every great expert meets.
1. Accuracy. Ensure that your profile and listing’s photos, experience, accomplishments, and general description accurately reflect the advice the member will experience.
2. Communication. Respond to all enquiries and reservation requests within 24 hours.
3. Availability. Respond to each request for a call by either accepting, suggesting new times or cancelling with a valid reason.
4. Commitment. Ensure that you can commit to the member before accepting a call request. If a cancellation is unavoidable, make every effort to help the member reschedule or find someone else on WIISE to help.
5. Welcome. Make sure that your prepared and on-time for your call at the predetermined time.
6. Helpful. During the call, be sure to answer the questions being asked in a clear and helpful way.
7. Reviews. Genuine reviews are the cornerstone of our trusted community. Leave a review for members within 30 days of the call.
